Incorporating xD Builder into BAM’s business practices has enabled us to effectively plan projects and demonstrate this to our clients.
The implementation of a 4D environment into our construction programmes has streamlined our approach to effective and efficient planning, enabling our teams to discover the true merits of advanced thinking alongside truly life-like scenarios in a 3D model. This in turn keeps BAM at the forefront of innovation in IT within construction.
Initially thought of as a visualisation tool, the software has evolved within the office environment to give all disciplines in construction the opportunity to understand the logic and effects of 4D modelling and planning. The models are now used in every new project to demonstrate our capabilities to clients, who in turn are won over by what they see.
D-Studio and xD Builder seem to have no limits to their development potential, as the software evolves through time bringing new opportunities to explore and investigate. At BAM we hope to be able to use an integrated solution that will allow us to deal with the design, construction, estimating, project and cost management disciplines.
Creating the 3D model of a building project and aligning it with the construction programme dates allows us to visualise the future; and to reduce waste by helping BAM’s project teams plan more efficiently and manage our resources, time and costs. We expect that the reduction in waste will contribute to BAM’s successful drive to reduce its carbon footprint.
